About our educator & supervisor development training programmes

Designed for organisations aiming to enhance their training quality, our workshop provide innovative methods and proven strategies to elevate training and supervision.

All our programmes are designed in accordance with the GMC-endorsed Academy of Medical Educators’ Professional Standards for Educators, ensuring that our facilitators are equipped with the latest knowledge and skills to deliver up to date training.

Participants will gain practical insights into managing diverse learning needs, providing impactful feedback, and creating a supportive learning environment. This investment will enhance the quality of education and supervision within your organisation, resulting in measurable improvements in trainee outcomes and satisfaction.

Criteria for trainer programmes and accreditation

We use the GMC approved Academy of Medical Educators’ Professional standards for medical, dental and veterinary educators (2014) as the criteria against which all trainers in recognised roles must provide evidence of their ongoing professional development. Although these standards have since been updated, the GMC still use the 2014 version for approval and recognition of trainers. The criteria comprise seven areas:

1
Ensuring safe and effective patient care through training
2
Establishing and maintaining an environment for learning
3
Teaching and facilitating learning
4
Enhancing learning through assessment
5
Supporting and monitoring educational progress
6
Guiding personal and professional development
7
Continuing professional development as an educator.
