Sexual Safety in Medicine
what does this course cover?
“Safe Spaces” focuses on enhancing sexual safety within healthcare environments, particularly in interactions among doctors, staff members, and trainees. Grounded in the Sexual Safety Charter, this workshop empowers participants to act as proactive bystanders, equipped to identify, prevent, and address inappropriate behaviours with confidence and sensitivity.
Participants will gain practical skills in recognising and challenging sexual misconduct, creating secure and respectful workspaces, and effectively responding to disclosures of sexual misconduct. The workshop will also address fostering a culture of consent and respect, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.

To equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to navigate and uphold sexual safety standards, fostering a respectful and secure environment through proactive bystander intervention and effective response strategies.
