Medical Improv - Advanced Communication

what does this course cover?

Some of the hardest conversations in medicine are not about clinical knowledge at all, they are about how you connect in the moment, and most doctors have never trained that skill directly.

This session uses medical improvisation to build your interpersonal, emotional intelligence and negotiation skills, so you can navigate complex interactions with confidence.

Learning outcomes:

  • Master advanced interpersonal communication techniques for diverse healthcare settings.
  • Enhance your emotional intelligence to better understand and respond to others’ needs.
  • Develop effective negotiation strategies for managing complex interactions.
  • Strengthen your ability to communicate empathetically with patients and families.
  • Practise these skills through medical improvisation, in a safe, supportive environment.
