what does this course cover?
Your trust has switched on Copilot and told you it will save time. Nobody has shown you how to ask it for anything useful, so it drafts bland emails and you go back to doing the work yourself.
Module 1 of Foundations of AI. Copilot inside Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the GCSE framework for prompts that work.
Learning outcomes:
- Write prompts using the GCSE framework, giving Copilot the goal, context, source and expectations it needs to be useful.
- Use Copilot in Outlook to triage a full inbox, draft replies in your own tone and summarise long threads.
- Turn a Word document into a PowerPoint deck, and a spreadsheet into an analysis, without rebuilding either by hand.
- Catch up on a Teams meeting you missed, asking Copilot for the decisions, the actions and anything that named you.
- Judge when Copilot output is good enough to send, and keep patient identifiable data out of every prompt.
