what does this course cover?
If you teach undergraduate medical students, you are already pulled in several directions at once. Students with mental health needs and neurodivergent learners need something your team has never had protected time to design.
A day for your whole team to look honestly at how you teach and support students, and leave with strategies you can use next week.
Learning outcomes:
- Assess your learning environment honestly, and name the gaps between what your team intends and what students actually experience.
- Recognise the psychological demands of undergraduate training, and agree what a supportive team response looks like in practice.
- Apply inclusive teaching strategies for neurodivergent students and those with mental health needs, without redesigning your whole programme.
- Agree a shared team approach to spotting and responding to a struggling student, so nobody falls between two clinicians.
- Leave with a short list of concrete changes your team has committed to, with named owners and realistic timescales.
