DME, Head of School, TPD, APD, MedEd Teams, Educational supervisor. You carry accountability for training quality and trainee wellbeing alongside a full clinical role, with little protected time and even less preparation for the leadership side of it.
When a trainee is struggling, when a programme is under pressure, when a difficult conversation cannot be avoided any longer, you are the person expected to know what to do. This workshop exists for exactly that moment.
Learning outcomes:
- Articulate a clearer vision for the programme you want to build, and the conditions that let all learners grow.
- Identify what in your learning environment is shaping trainee experience right now, for better and for worse.
- Apply practical strategies to your own challenges, working through your cases with peers who know the pressures.
- Use our Residents Requiring Additional Support clinic to review live cases against a structured approach.
- Leave with a plan for the one change you will make first, and who you need on side.
