what does this course cover?
This workshop is designed to boost confidence in supporting trainees who face performance challenges. Participants will engage in interactive discussions, case studies, and role-playing exercises to develop practical skills for addressing a range of difficulties faced by postgraduate doctors in training and locally employed doctors.
The workshop covers recognising trainees needing additional support, identifying underlying issues, and understanding the roles of Educational Supervisors, postgraduate schools, and hospitals in effective support. Participants will learn to give constructive feedback, set SMART objectives, implement remediation strategies, and receive tips on documenting discussions to ensure fairness.

To equip Educational and Clinical Supervisors, Appraisers, Trainers, and Tutors with advanced skills and strategies to support postgraduate doctors in training and locally employed doctors facing performance challenges, ensuring effective remediation and fair documentation.
