Supporting IMG Doctors Through Peer Mentorship
what does this course cover?
We invite colleagues to participate in a workshop designed to empower them to provide mentorship and support to new International Medical Graduates (IMGs) and Locally Employed Doctors (LEDs) as they commence their training. Participants will develop the confidence and skills needed to make a significant impact on their mentees’ professional development.
The workshop will cover differentiating between coaching and mentoring, developing essential skills like active listening and effective communication, and building strong rapport with mentees. Attendees will explore strategies for integrating both IMGs and LEDs into the NHS, using their own experiences to enhance their mentorship approach. This is an opportunity to share knowledge, build relationships, and support each other in making a positive impact.
